From Yan Fu’s Translation Criterion to the Translation Goal of Functional Linguistics_ Traditional Translation Theory

In traditional Chinese translation theory, Yan Fu’s translation criterion of “faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance” is the golden rule in the translation field. It comes from Yan Fu, an outstanding thinker and translator in modern China, and still has irreplaceable influence in the domestic translation field after 100 years.
